What multiple walkthroughs agree on

The common route begins with a fully abstracted player. Community guides then describe staying in the server while a nearby second player types Caine in chat, followed by a Caine event and possible Cellar transition.

Reported two-player sequence

  • Player A becomes fully abstracted using an official condition.
  • Player A stays in the server and avoids resetting.
  • Player B stands nearby and types Caine in chat.
  • Both players wait for the event/cutscene before changing state.
  • Record whether the Cellar transition occurs in the current build.

Why Caine may not work

  • The player may not be fully abstracted.
  • The name may be misspelled.
  • The players may be testing a route from an older build.
  • The sequence may require a new server or may have changed after an update.

Do not treat reported timers as guarantees

Secondary guides disagree about automatic waits and approximate timers. The wiki deliberately omits a guaranteed three- or five-minute claim.
